WOW second day in a row WITH wind, most excellent oh yes. Got down the reservoir about 1.30pm slightly earlier today cause its off water at 5pm (what? on a bank holiday? dammit). Basically the wind was similiar to yesterday quite strong, there were a lot of small rigs set up there but I again decided to rig up the 8.0 and what a wrong decision that was. Went out on it and was instantly overpowered and just couldnt cope after a couple of runs. Ended up the other side of the walkways, downwind with no chance of getting back so thought, fuck it, I'll change down. Got my Pacific 6.2 out but realised it was fucked, ripped and I'd lost the cap for the end of the mast.

So, what do you do in these situations? Its obvious really. You go to the shop and buy a Tushingham Storm 6.0 hehe. Retails at £289 but I got it for £245 which was cool, discount membership price.

So I rigged the Storm BUT the wind had dropped considerably to a stage when the 8.0 would have been good lol. BUT I JUST HAD TO USE THIS NEW SAIL. Went out on it and was instantly impressed, feels so light and I was planing almost immediately on it in less wind then earlier and it was great. I love it. At one point I did a mental catapult it was great, felt like superman hehe.

I could've gone for the 5.5 or 5.0 Storm but I'm a big bloke (at the moment only 88kg though, also 6.3") so think I can handle bigger sizes than most small arsed people.

Was pleasantly suprised sailing with the Storm. Though I only had just over an hour on the water with it I cannot wait until next time which will hopefully be in Borth next weekend :), though hopefully I will be kitesurfing instead or at least trying to but I wouldn't mind doing some windsurfing as well.

oh I did the 'fall off the back while planing and lose my board trick again' OMG, also broke a harness strap GRRrr
